Parking Lot Math

My post Regressives led to a rather informative discussion of parking-lot packing. Commenter ‘GW’, an architect with experience and knowledge of lot design, showed up and took me to school regarding all the factors that come into play. Here’s a key illustration of the benefits of perpendicular over angled parking.

I still prefer angled parking though.
