A lot of sites are black right now protesting something. Like, I tried to do a web search on Google, but couldn’t, because they put a black rectangle over the word ‘Google’. (I could still type something in the box and see what happens, I suppose, but I’m not about to risk it!)
I gather they are all protesting SOFA and FIFA. The Status Of Forces Agreement, I’m not even sure I have an opinion on right now (is it still in effect?). But boy, I sure do hate FIFA soccer.
So, join me as I turn this website black in protest of FIFA. Well, not literally black, as that would probably require some HTML brain damage or something. I still don’t know how to make a horizontal line go across the screen.
No. Symbolically black. Metaphorically black. You can imagine it, if you try. Just close your eyes and don’t look at this blog and you’ll start to see what I mean.
Actually wait no, don’t. I need the traffic for my grand internet ambitions. (You’ll see.) Scratch this whole post come to think of it. Well, except for the part about not watching FIFA. That’s just good sound advice regardless of the situation. Down with FIFA!
