Three years ago on December 9, 2009, I blogged something or other about seeing some famous dude in a restaurant:

Was in a small restaurant last night, when a big comedy movie actor walked in and sat down next to two other guys who’d been there for ten minutes or so. I recognized him at once, and then I got embarrassed. I tried not to look at him the rest of the night.

After all, one dude, staring at another dude, just because he’s seen him in movies and stuff? It’s a little fishy.

Yes, that’s the whole post. (I’m not a very good blogger).

REVEALED: It was Will Ferrell. Looking back, I like to think he was meeting with the writer and producer of The Other Guys, and their conversation was like, “Let’s make it really, really funny.” Productive dinner.

It’s this kind of right on top of the moment analysis of cultural events and celebrities that keeps us coming back.

Move over TMZ.

Just wait till I blog about that time my roommate got drunk with C-list movie/TV star Monica Potter. That’s gonna be awesome.

That will be coo, but the really cool thing is when, two years later, you tie some personal interest story like that one to some entertainment news/analysis, like when you patiently explained to us, after all this time, that perhaps Will Ferrell was in that restaurant working on such and such a movie, having this or that kind of conversation. Amazing.

Like I wonder if, perhaps, when Monica Potter boinked your roomate, if maybe she was doing research for a particular role?!?!?!?!??

Yes. Now that you mention it I think she was getting into character for her role in Along Came A Spider with Morgan Freeman. In which she played (as far as I can recall) a Cop-Type-Lady Who Was A Lot Like Monica Potter (But With A Twist).

Now it all makes sense.
