The whole Smart People frustration with the debt ceiling makes no sense and seems totally silly to me and also the idea being floated in blogs and other silly places for UST to mint a trillion-dollar coin makes no sense and seems totally silly to me but this post explaining how the seignorage solution would/should actually work in practice seems perfectly sensible and fine to me so now I’m wishing they’d just go ahead and do that so I can stop hearing/thinking about this entire issue.
